Friday 24th March.

The unpredictable nature of the weather is driving us nuts at the moment, but despite that, it was a really good day here at Bidston yesterday. The new Lady Captain held her traditional drive in, we managed to give the greens a trim, rain was limited to a fairly biblical 10 minute downpour just after mid day, and the icing on the golfing cake was a group of volunteers and members planted over 100 trees on and around the 7th hole.

So for today, the course is fully open, and if we continue to dodge the worst of the rain it's looking good for the weekend. Its still a bit soft in places so please help look after our course and fix any pitch marks or divots you come across.

Late news....One of our reserved bookings on Saturday are away this weekend so we have four tee times available on a first come first served basis, ring the pro shop sharpish if you want to play mid morning on Saturday.

The club's Annual General Meeting was held on Wednesday night and was really well attended. There are a couple of things that need following up so if members please keep an eye on your e mails you will be contacted early next week.

Peninsula Catering have been appointed as our new caterer and subject to contract, they should be with us from the first week in April.

There is a bit of info about them here on the web site, click on 'visitors and societies' and then 'catering' or check them out at www,peninsulacatering.co.uk I hope members will give them a warm welcome and enjoy their menu.
